Girls, there are many metaphors and models that spring to mind. We can imagine the hydra, the multi-faced beast, infamous in Greek mythology. Like it, we join together to make one body. With the advantage of having eight heads to look in eight directions, the body is well protected. With eight mouths to find nourishment, our body is strong. With eight brains, our body is able to solve any problem.
Another analogous being is Shiva. From Wikipedia: "Shiva's body is said to consist of five mantras, called the pañcabrahmans:As forms of god, each of these have their own names and distinct iconography. These are represented as the five faces of Shiva, and are associated in various texts with the five elements, the five senses, the five organs of perception, and the five organs of action."
We are the ultimate multi-tasker, the supreme polymath, the babel fish. We can be in multiple places at once. We can be asleep and awake at the same time :) (happening now, for example)
