Grimm++

Whilst on a flying visit to 100% design in September I bumped into a fellow Loughborough textile graduate Lauren Moriarty who took me to see her work with the Grimm++ collective debuting their collection of interior products and furniture.

Based on the stories of the Brothers Grimm, the collective get together to create and exhibit at events basing product on a different Grimm fairytale.

A bespoke marquetry piece depicting the wolf in grandmas clothing.

This show, if you haven't guessed, was based on the story Little Red Cap. Products range from furniture, rugs and beautiful marquetry to smaller items like these very cool Wolf Rabbit ceramic pieces by Reiko Kaneko. She describes them as trinket holders or small vases but I would use mine as an eggcup!

Bone china Evil Rabbit by Reiko Kaneko, £9.95, available here.

These nest of tables by Nick Fraser are inspired by the three Oak trees that surround Grandma's house. Constructed in Oak, the tops are laser etched with a stylised tree branch design.
